Local Firm Help School With Video Project

Local design agency CWA in Glenfield are helping primary school children in Market Bosworth to make a video depicting the last 30 years of life since the school opened on its current site.

The video will be used as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations at St Peters C.E. Primary school, but also gives 10 pupils the chance to play ‘producer’ and ‘director’ and to really experience what a professional videographer has to consider.

Head teacher Ralph Wood is keen for the pupils to experience real business as part of the richer curriculum that he is promoting, and CWA have enabled the school to offer an unusual insight into the workings of a business.

The 10 pupils have visited the offices of CWA in Glenfield and have received instruction in setting out a story board, planning the shoot and using the digital video equipment. Further help from CWA will include the children using top of the range video editing equipment as they pull together all the footage and create their 30th anniversary video.

Patrick Veasey, Managing Director of CWA said, “It was very different to the usual client meetings with brand directors and marketing heads! The 10 children were shown around the studio and were all really keen to know more about what we do and eager to start shooting footage. We’re pleased to be able to help the school and to add a professional business dimension to the children’s normal experience”

CWA are a creative design agency, established over 30 years. Other clients include Saab, Volvo, FedEx, General Motors, Severn Trent and Fujifilm.
